Lilies International Christian Outreach
“If our mission on planet Earth is
Christianity, let us face it globally!”
Through various ministries, Lilies International Christian
Outreach (LICO) focuses on efforts to
propagate the gospel and increase
consciousness of God globally. Current
programs include:
Radio and Internet Ministry
LICO’s Radio Ministry is an evangelical and teaching ministry that
airs the Worship, Word and Warfare
broadcast by Pastor Elsie Obed
weekdays at 9:15 p.m. on 570AM
(New York City) and on AOL
Christian Talk Radio. Worship, Word
and Warfare also airs Monday
through Friday in Port Harcourt,
Nigeria, on the Treasure FM
station. The Internet arrm of the
ministry transmits sermons, prayers and
selected radio messages from the
Worship, Word and Warfare radio
broadcast and other ministry programs.
Worship His Majesty
This large-scale intercessory worship
event held annually in September is
designed to serve as a forum to bring
the Lord’s people from different
churches, backgrounds and nations
together to worship the Lord in spirit
and in truth. With the world—and the
body of Christ—divided by issues of
race, wealth and class, we are not
meeting the Lord’s desire as expressed
in Psalm 133: “O how good and pleasant
it is for brethren to dwell together in
unity.” Worship His Majesty
seeks to change this, serving as the
call for Christians from all nations,
races, and income levels to worship King
Jesus as one body. At these anointed
events, worship leaders such as Phil
Driscoll, Alvin Slaughter, Ron Kenoly,
Terry MacAlmon, CeCe Winans and
others are invited to lead the body of
Christ to
worship together in unity as we intercede for ourselves, the
church of God and all nations through
song, prayer and worship.
Worship, Word and Warfare Prayer
Meetings
Held several times each year, these intercessory prayer events
strive to achieve breakthroughs in all
realms, with a particular emphasis on
praying for an end to the turmoil that
plagues the nations and peoples of the
world. They are rooted in
the
word of God which says "If my people,
which are called by my name, shall
humble themselves, and pray, and seek my
face, and turn from their wicked ways;
then will I hear from heaven, and will
forgive their sin, and will heal their
land" (2 Chronicles 7:14). We seek out
pastors, ministers and prayer warriors
who will come together in corporate
prayers for hours.
Word of Wisdom Conferences
LICO’s Word of Wisdom conferences are Spirit-filled meetings that
focus on themes as dictated by the Holy
Spirit. Scheduled for December 1st
through December 7th each
year, these sessions give the church a
deeper revelation on the chosen theme.
Examples of past and upcoming themes are
Godly Abundance, The Realities
of Divine Favor, and Signs and
Wonders. Transcripts from these
meetings are available.
Youth Education Ministry
Lilies International Christian School,
currently located in Roosevelt Island,
New York, provides international
standard education based on positive
character development and biblical
principles. In the near future, Lilies
will also
offer an online program that will
feature curriculum guides, teaching
notes, summaries of topics and standard
questions for student assessment, along
with other Christian-based education
resources.
Handmaidens’ Ministry
The Handmaidens’ Ministry
focuses on women’s needs in their
Christian walk, providing wise counsel
for feminine challenges and encouraging
women at various levels of ministry to
stand in their high places. These
objectives are achieved through
The Handmaiden’s Time of Refreshing
(an annual February retreat) and
scheduled seminars and fellowship
meetings throughout the year.
Lilies’ Leadership League
Lilies’ Leadership League seeks to
cultivate and develop individual
leadership gifting, for use in ministry
to God. The goal of Lilies’ Leadership
League (LLL) is to equip leaders to
their God-ordained destiny by counseling
them with the Word of Wisdom. LLL gives
guidance and tools for seeking God,
learning sensitivity to the Holy Spirit,
and discerning what is “real” from peer
pressure and other distractions in
ministry. LLL training is through
scheduled programs at certified
Christian educational forums. In
addition, leadership resource centers
will be opened in areas where Christian
materials are not readily available.
Ministry resource materials online will
furnish members with teaching materials
based on Biblical themes for teaching in
ministry or church forums.
About Pastor Elsie Obed
Pastor Elsie Obed, the president of LICO,
accepted Christ as her personal savior
in 1983. Over a period of 20 years
[1983-2003] she trained and worked as a
pioneer church planter and pastor in
RCCG in Nigeria and North America.
She incorporated Lilies International Christian Outreach after
receiving a ministration from the Holy
Spirit to focus on international
Christian outreaches. With her
bachelor’s degree in International
affairs from Florida State University
and a master’s degree in social
education from Boston University and a
commitment to the leading of the Holy
Spirit she has been equipped to reach
out to the nations in a multicultural
ministry. Pastor Elsie is a worshipper
and loves and encourages pure worship in
her Ministry. Her recorded worship
CD “Prayersong” communicates her heart
in multicultural worship. Pastor Elsie
teaches the basics without compromising
the integrity of the Scripture. She is
a firm believer in praying the
Scriptures for spiritual warfare and
breakthroughs in life. She continues
to implement the directives of the Holy
Spirit with the full support of her
husband, Pastor Olusegun Obed of
Dayspring Church (New York) and a team
of sprit-filled co-workers.
