Scripture Reading: Psalm 22:9–11

“But thou art he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother's breasts. I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother's belly. Be not far from me; for trouble is near; for there is none to help.”

My God from My Mother’s Womb

Father God, we thank you for providing for us a safe hiding place in you. You are the Rock of Ages; the one who is a cleft for us. Give us the grace to hide deeper in you for you always fill our hearts with songs of deliverance.

Have you ever been in a difficult situation where you were overwhelmed by a challenge, but from the depth of your spirit-man arose a song of deliverance? Have you found yourself singing a song of breakthrough while still in midst of a difficult situation? God threw this rope to pull you out of the pit; He remained faithful to you.

Sometimes, it is necessary to remember from where you came—especially when facing a challenge. You can talk to God and say, “Lord, we’ve come a long way together, even from the day I was conceived.” Your mother and father did not know when you came into being but God knew and He has been with you through every change in your life. So during that challenge, pray to God to continue in His faithfulness. Pray like David and ask God to manifest His presence. You may think your relationship with God started the day you surrendered your life to Christ, but in reality He was the one who took you out of the womb. He was the one who gave you hope when you were upon your mother’s breast. How does a baby hope? Children who need to be fed, changed, sheltered, and protected must have faith. They have confidence that suckling will bring nourishment; they trust that their mother’s love will be there.

Always remember that your relationship with God began when you began, from the day He allowed you to be conceived. It was God who guaranteed that your mother would not forget to breastfeed you. God who loved you yesterday is still in love with you today and will continue to be in love with you tomorrow. God who delivered you at your birth is delivering you today and will deliver you tomorrow. God, who provided for you yesterday, is providing for you today and will yet provide for you because He is an unchanging God.

Because God is settled, His Word is settled. I am sharing with you from the settled Word of God. You may have just begun to take God seriously, but He took you so seriously He caused you to be conceived; He delivered you from the abortion table. He took you seriously enough to make sure that you were provided for and He guaranteed the blessed assurance that you were covered by His love. God who is faithful to you is telling you to call on Him in any situation, no matter how challenging, and He will bless you with songs of deliverance. Talk to God, like David did in this Psalm. Have a vibrant relationship with God. Tell Him like it is, communicate with Him and put things in perspective. God is the God who pulled you out of your mother’s belly. May His praise be continually in your mouth!

Prayer Points:

You need to surrender your life to Jesus if you have not done so. Pray with me, “Dear Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you. I confess and forsake my sins. Cleanse me from my sins with your blood and write my name in the Book of Life. Fill me with your Spirit and let me walk with you with the consciousness of my beginnings with you.

Father God, thank you for pulling us out of our mother’s womb. Thank you for your faithfulness, your deliverance, and your mercies. Put a song of deliverance in the mouths of all your people. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Scripture Reading: Luke 18:35–43

And it came to pass, that as he was come nigh unto Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way side begging: And hearing the multitude pass by, he asked what it meant. And they told him, that Jesus of Nazareth passeth by. And he cried, saying, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me” (Luke 18:35–38).

Call His Name

Lord Jesus, we thank you because your powerful name brings healing and deliverance. We love calling your name.

Today, many of us have succumbed to the challenges we face. We have become so passive and sedentary that we view ourselves as helpless victims. Like Bartimaeus, we are sitting down by the wayside, begging for mercy, because that is all we feel we can do. I pray that you will follow Bartimaeus’s example and recognize the word of God passing by you today and that you will ask, “What is the meaning of this message to me?” I pray that you will know it is a message from the Lord Jesus urging you to look to Him to experience deliverance.

When Bartimaeus heard that Jesus was passing by, he instantly knew that his Savior had come. He knew that this would be the end of sitting at the wayside and begging, that Jesus would deliver him from his problems. Do you know that Jesus has come? He has come into your situation today. Are you going to remain passive, or will you cry out loudly for mercy?

“And they which went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, Thou son of David, have mercy on me. And Jesus stood, and commanded him to be brought unto him: and when he was come near, he asked him, Saying, What wilt thou that I shall do unto thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight. And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee. And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God” (Luke 18:39–43).

Do not pay attention to the rebuke of people around you. Just like they discouraged Bartimaeus, people will downplay the size of your problem, tell you that you are making too much noise, praying too much, or looking too frantically for Jesus. When the crowd told Bartimaeus to hold his peace, his response was to cry out even more. How could they tell a blind man to hold his peace when a healer was passing by? Cry out loudly to Jesus. Do not hold your peace.

Just like Jesus stood still for Bartimaeus, He will stand still for you and He will ask, “What do you want me to do for you?” Do not be afraid to answer specifically. Bartimaeus told Jesus that he wanted to see and he received his sight. When the name of Jesus is called, every knee shall bow: the knee of your sickness, the knee of your affliction, the knee of your problem will bow. Your enemies will flee. Just call on the name of Jesus, believe in His power, and ask for a new favor.

Faith in the name of Jesus is necessary for deliverance. There is no other name that justifies you, saves you, or brings excellence into your life. Bartimaeus had a challenge that caused him to sit on the wayside, begging. But he did not sit there forever because at the appointed time, Jesus of Nazareth passed by. Beloved, this is your appointed time.  Jesus Christ is passing by. When you cry out, God will bless you so that others will see what He has done. I pray that you will have the grace to call on His name today.

Prayer Points:

If you are not born again, you have not tasted the sweetness of His name. Cry out to Jesus with me, “Dear Lord Jesus, write my name in the Book of Life. I accept you as my Lord and Savior. I confess and forsake my sins. Forgive my sins and bless me so I can give you all the praise.”

Lord Jesus, we need healing, deliverance, and solutions to our challenges. Set us free.  We need a breakthrough. We love to call your name because you are faithful; you are the unchanging one. In your faithfulness, answer us and give us the grace to share our testimonies with others.

Scripture Reading: Psalm 24

“Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully” (Ps 24:3–4).

Clean Hands and a Pure Heart

Father God, we give you glory and honor. We adore you and proclaim that you are our Lord. There is none like you who created the earth and everything in it. Father, how can such a great God love a sinful people like us? We are grateful that you love us forever and that you provide a way for us to come clean before you.

“The earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods” (Ps 24:1). The task of moving, from finding the best location to buying new furniture, can be one huge hassle. Yet, it is worth it all once we settle into the new environment. Psalm 24 is urging us to change our environment, to move to a place where fellowship with God is possible. In order to do so, we must have clean hands and a pure heart. Clean hands are not hands that have been washed with soap and water or lathered in antibacterial lotions. Here, the reference to clean hands means being spiritually clean, having a pure conscience.

“He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah” (Ps 24:5–10).

Is there something that prevents you from holding your head high? What is the sin that causes you to avoid people? Pray today in the name of Jesus for deliverance from that sin: the sin that has made your mind dirty and your heart impure. Soak your hands in the cleansing blood of Jesus right now. His righteous blood will declare you innocent if you believe. Come forth with clean hands because your conscience does not condemn you; come forth with a pure heart because your testimony of a pure conscience allows you to confidently look every person in the eye. Without clean hands and a pure heart, you cannot ascend unto the holy hill of God; you cannot be promoted to experience fellowship with Him. Psalm 75:6–7 says that promotion does not come from the north, south, east, or west; that as the Judge, God will put some down and set others up. God has the authority to promote and demand purity because He is the founder of the earth. At the beginning of time, He was the one who told the seas to rescind and established the solid ground that we walk on. He established you, giving you a firm place on which to stand despite the floods that overwhelm your life. Give Him praise.

Prayer Points:

If you desire clean hands and a pure heart, give your life to Jesus. Confess your sins and forsake them. Pray with me, “Lord Jesus Christ, I accept you as my personal Lord and Savior. Purify my heart. Renew my mind with your Word. I wash my hands in the blood of Jesus.”

Father God, we thank you because you are the King of glory. We thank you because the heads of the gates will be lifted up and the King of glory will come in. Oh Lord of hosts, come into our lives, our cities, our nations. Deliver us from vanity that causes us to swear deceitfully. Bless us with clean hands and a pure heart, and give us the grace to receive your blessings. Give us the grace to be part of the generation that seeks you, Lord. Cause those who search to find you, in Jesus’ name.

Scripture Reading: John 20:19–29

“But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe” (John 20:24–25).

Contact Christianity

Father God, have your way in our lives we pray. Deliver us from depending on physical contact in order to believe. Upgrade us to be a people who perpetually live in your presence and believe without seeing.

“I’ll believe it when I see it” is a common phrase that seems to characterize modern Christianity. Many people who claim allegiance to Christ feel they cannot experience God without a particular handkerchief, oil, or person of God. They need something to make contact with in order to believe that God is real. These people are what I call “contact Christians.” Contact Christianity existed even amongst Jesus’ disciples:

“Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord. Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost: Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained” (John 20:19–23). In this account in John, when Jesus revealed Himself to the disciples for the first time since His resurrection, the disciples would not believe He was actually standing with them until they physically saw His wounds. Jesus later expressed that while it was good that they had believed upon seeing His hands and feet, those people who believed though they had not seen were blessed:

“And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you. Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed” (John 20:26–29).

Contact Christians who need to see something in order to believe in God may appear very religious, but in reality, they do not trust in God; they have little or no faith. In order to have faith, the object of one’s faith must not be seen. You cannot have faith that your daughter will clean the house if you are already watching her clean it. That is not faith. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Heb 11:1).

In order to be a person with faith, the sort of person Jesus described as blessed, you must receive the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. You will then personally experience His presence and be delivered from contact Christianity. Perpetually in God’s presence, you will no longer need physical contact with something in order to believe. In fact, you will believe so strongly that you will be able to boldly pray, prophesy, preach, and praise.

It is time to answer a very important question: Are you a contact Christian or are you a presence-of-God Christian?

Prayer Points:

If you have never given your life to Jesus, but want to be a presence-of-God Christian who has the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, pray with me now, “Dear Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you. I confess and forsake my sins. Cleanse me from my sins with your blood and fill me with your Holy Spirit. Write my name in the Book of Life. Upgrade me from an externally-powered Christian to an internally-powered Christian.”

Lord God, fill us with the overflowing of your Holy Spirit. Let us experience you personally. Deliver us from the bondage of idols and physical contact and give us the grace to believe because you are present in us through your Spirit. With your presence, let there come a new confidence, a boldness to pray, prophesy, and praise you. Oh Lord God Almighty, in your mercy, breathe on us the Holy Ghost. Give us the grace to believe that all things are possible with you. We pray for an upgrade from being contact Christians to being presence-of-God Christians, in Jesus’ name.

Scripture Reading: Isaiah 62:3

“Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.”

Crown of Glory

The winds and the waves obey the voice of Jesus. Nothing can stand before His power.  Father God, we glorify your holy name because no demon, no man, or any other thing can sink the ship of our lives, for you are Master of the oceans and the seas. Father, I pray in the name of Jesus that you crown us with your glory.

For many individuals, our children are our glory. We carry pictures in our wallet, just anticipating an occasion to pull them out and brag. Similarly, the Bible calls God’s children His crown of glory. Not because of our good looks or achievements, but because He has crowned us with His glory. So, how does God’s glory appear? “As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake” (Ezek 1:28). The glory of God is like the appearance of a colorful rainbow after a downpour. His glory radiates in every situation in our lives despite our flaws. If your situation is red, He will send His glory in that color; if it is blue, He will send His blue shade of glory to shine in it. God will manifest His glory to beautify and eradicate everything that is not glorious in your life.

Who is God’s crown of glory? The Lord Jesus Christ is the crown of glory that God has given to all who believe in Him. David says, “But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head” (Ps 3:3). The glory of God will radiate and eliminate all darkness even as it approaches His own. This is the glory of Jesus Christ, for His “light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not” (John 1:5). Darkness cannot comprehend the circumstances of your life because the glory of God is within. The enemy cannot come near you. This glory signifies your deliverance, your protection, and your restoration. God has heard your sighs and your crying. He has counted your tears and He will lift up your head in the name of Jesus. Jesus is your glory; because He was given to us, we are indeed God’s crown of glory.

Prayer Points:

If you have never at any time given your life to Jesus, pray, “Dear Lord Jesus, I accept you as my personal Lord and Savior. I confess and forsake my sins. Cleanse me from my sins with your blood. Write my name in the Book of Life. Deliver me from evil and restore to me all that the enemy has stolen. Crown my head with your glory.”

Father God Almighty, I pray that you display your power against every unrepentant opposition in our lives. Father God Almighty, in your mercy, deliver your children and put a crown of glory upon our heads.

Scripture Reading: Matthew 13:24–30

“So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn” (Matt 13:27–30).

Deliverance from Foundational Tares

Father God Almighty, in your mercy let the shed blood of Jesus flush out the tares from the foundation of the lives of your children.

The challenges we face as adults are often rooted in childhood experiences that have formed our foundation. These experiences continue to live with us as memories when we grow up, and they often affect our adulthood negatively. I liken such experiences to the tares spoken of in Matthew.

“Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also” (Matt 13:24–26).

God only sows good seed; you are meant to be wonderful, a wonder unto many. But challenges that spring forth today hinder that from being a reality. If you examine your life and realize that there seems to be an embargo on your progress, remember that God is not the author of failure. In fact, Jesus Christ has redeemed us from any curse: “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith” (Gal 3:13–14).

Your foundational tares may be caused by family curses or recurrent tragedies that have been programmed into your life, but there is deliverance in Jesus Christ. God has good plans for you according to His word (Jer 29:11) and His word cannot be spoiled. Let us pray according to the Word so that your true nature as God intended will become manifest.

Prayer Points:

Father God Almighty, the siege of the enemy must end today. We pray that the Word of the Living God and the prayer of faith will remove all the tares the enemy has sown in the foundation of our lives. Uproot every plant that you have not planted in our soul. I pray that you deliver us all from the bondage of every tare of fear, for your Word says that you deliver all who through fear were subject to bondage all their lifetime (Heb 2:15). Your Word also says, when the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell (Ps 72:2). Father God, let every enemy, every tare that the devil has sown in the body, soul, spirit, circumstance, or finances be consumed by the fire of the Holy Spirit. We command that every enemy be paralyzed now, that the rod of the wicked risen up against us be rendered impotent. Let every inherited satanic deposit be flushed out by the blood of Jesus. Let the stronghold of every spirit of Koran, Detan, and Aviram, every spirit of Egypt, every spirit warring against us be smashed to pieces in the name of Jesus. Let the foundational tares be uprooted, burnt to ashes, and blown far away by the wind of the Holy Spirit. In the name of Jesus, close every gateway open to the enemy by faulty foundation. I pour the blood of Jesus upon the foundation of all children of God. Father, thank you for salvation, the day of harvest, has come. Amen.

Scripture Reading: Joel 2:21–27

“And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you” (Joel 2:25).

Divine Restoration

Father God, thank you because you are the only one who can restore to us everything that the enemy has stolen. I pray that you will honor your Word so that it will manifest in our lives and testimonies will abound.

In agricultural societies, people depend on rain in order to sustain their livelihood. But this can be very frustrating because they cannot control rainfall; only God can do that. Similarly, even if we do not realize it, we also depend on rain from God—rain in the form of blessings that He showers upon His children:

“Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the Lord will do great things. Be not afraid, ye beasts of the field: for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree beareth her fruit, the fig tree and the vine do yield their strength. Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month. And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with wine and oil. And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you. And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed. And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the Lord your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed” (Joel 2:21–27).

In this passage, the moderate rain refers to all the blessings of God that would normally come into your life—the subsistence level of blessings that most Christians experience. The former rain refers to the blessings you should have received but did not, due to evil works that the devil planted in your life in childhood. The enemy suppressed, diverted, and ultimately stole these blessings. But today God has purposed your restoration. His Word says that He will pour blessings out into your life in the form of the former rain, and that He will pour the latter rain in the first month. This means that God is not only going to bless you with what you are due now, but also with the blessings you missed because of the enemy’s work. Furthermore, God says He will bring down the blessings that were meant to come later because you need the triple blessing now. God is ready to pour into your life these blessings. Though at one time God allowed the enemy to have his way by planting tares in your childhood, it is now harvest time. God is ready to pour into your life the moderate blessings, blessings of your former rain, and blessings of your latter rain, and He will pour all of this down in one month.

No wonder He tells us to be glad and rejoice. When God does a great thing, it will surpass anything your mind can imagine. As you begin to receive restoration in the name of Jesus, I pray that it will become very clear that the hand of the Lord is doing it.

Prayer Points:

Father, let your Word work; do what only you can do. In your mercy, let everything that has been stolen from us be released to us in the name of Jesus. Let every demonic incantation or spell rendered against us be canceled in the name of Jesus. Lord, heal all wounds and spiritual bullets sustained from the attack of the enemy in our lives. We reject the spirit of regret, woes, and disappointment in the name of Jesus. Give us the power for a new beginning. Lord, let the rain begin to fall, the rain of survival, of lost blessings, of future blessings. I thank you because your Word is true. You said that you would restore the years the locust hath eaten. I pray that we will see the proof of your handiwork and that we will give you glory and serve you forever.

Scripture Reading: Luke 1:31–35

“Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God” (Luke 1:34–35).

Mergers and Acquisitions

Father God, thank you for being our Redeemer who lives. In your mercy, give us the grace to be delivered from oppression, from anything that is making the reality of our lives contrary to your Word, which states that you made us to have dominion.

Large corporations use a strategy to dominate their market. First they downsize to eliminate those people with redundant or unnecessary jobs. Then they begin to cover their weak areas and expand their vision. Next they merge with other powerful companies to acquire additional assets. Large corporations adopt this strategy based on their knowledge of how the world operates. The very same God who created the world and has intimate knowledge of His creation encourages His children to utilize a similar tactic in order to have dominion over the earth. God declared in Genesis that we should be fruitful and multiply, replenish the earth, and subdue and have dominion over all things. In order to accomplish God’s plan, we must:

1. Downsize, or lay aside every weight and sin that easily besets us.

2. Cover our vulnerabilities or weak areas.

3. Expand our vision.

4. Merge with the Holy Spirit.

5. Acquire the Spirit’s attributes.

Steps four and five, when compounded, represent a merger and acquisition that is essential for dominating on earth. Mergers and acquisitions are not just secular business terms; they are serious God-business terms. Mary experienced such a merger/acquisition as recorded in Luke 1: “And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end” (Luke 1:31–33).

When the angel told Mary that she would bear a child, Mary responded, “How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?” (Luke 1:34). Similarly, many are saying, “Pastor Elsie, how can I dominate if I have no connections?” The answer does not lie in your human connections but in the Holy Spirit. Just as the Holy Ghost came upon Mary powerfully so that she became Jesus’ mother and fulfilled God’s plan for her life, the Holy Spirit can cause you to become the dominator God wants you to be. When you enter into a merger with the Holy Spirit, you will acquire the power of God with which you can dominate the earth to the glory of God in the name of Jesus. You will become the person God made you to be; the attributes and power of the Holy Spirit will transform you into a dominator. It is not enough for you to settle, for you to say, “I am a Christian. I go to church.” Are you in a merger with the Holy Spirit? Are you working with the power of the Holy Spirit?

Prayer Points:

The first step to entering into that merger is to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. If you are not born again, pray with me, “Dear Jesus, I accept you as my personal Lord and Savior. I confess and forsake my sins. Cleanse me from my sins with your blood. Pour into my life the power of the Holy Spirit and let my life be merged with Him.”

Father God, let your Holy Spirit come upon me. Let the power of your Holy Spirit overshadow me, so that I will begin to accomplish great things to your glory. Bless me as I upgrade from the dominated to the dominator in the name of Jesus.

May 9

Scripture Reading: Hebrews 12:1–2

“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us” (Heb 12:1).

Shedding Your Load

Father God, in your mercy give us the grace to agree with your plan for our lives, that we should have dominion over all the earth. Help us to lay aside every weight that we carry.

We need to be conscious of our years, days, and months because we are a divine ordination here to accomplish certain goals for our Living God who made us.  God has made it clear that He wants us to be the dominator, not the dominated. In Genesis, He says that He made us to be fruitful spiritually, physically, and financially, and to multiply. We are to subdue the earth and have dominion over it and that is why He has blessed us with salvation.

Oppression is hindering some of God’s people from dominating. Are you feeling oppressed? Some of us have been so absorbed with the sin of alcoholism and drug addiction that the alcohol and drugs do not allow us to dominate. We are in a perpetual stupor. Others are addicted to pornography, whereby they see something nude and walk in a state of confusion. For some, eating too much is the issue. For others, it is the enjoyment of seeing people suffer. Are you being dominated by your sin or your circumstances? Then, take the first step towards having dominion: shed your load. Lay aside every weight and the sin that besets you (Heb 12:1). Some of us are carrying such physical, spiritual, or psychological loads that we are overburdened. How are you going to lay aside your load? This can be accomplished by “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God” (Heb 12:2). In order for Jesus to have dominion when He was taking this first step of shedding His load (our sins), He endured the cross. He endured the process that would make Him the dominator, the King of kings, the Lord of lords, the Ancient of Days, the Lily of the Valley, the Great Redeemer, the Savior of the lost, and the Justifier of the condemned. Oh Living God, give us the grace to follow the example of Christ.

When you begin to shed your load, you must be determined to endure the process; endure the cross. Jesus had to endure the cross so that now He is seated at the right hand of the throne of God making intercession for you and me. Today Jesus is praying and saying, “My daughter and my son, endure the process of the cross. Endure the pruning of the Holy Spirit.” May God give us the grace to lay aside every weight and the sin that easily besets us. The Bible says He endured the cross, despising the shame. Just as Jesus was ridiculed on the cross, we will also endure humiliation during the process of the pruning of the Holy Spirit. What will people say when they hear we are not doing the things we used to do? People may jeer or mock us, but Father God, give us the grace to despise the shame and endure the cross.

Prayer Points:

Shedding one’s load is impossible without salvation. Lord, I ask in the name of Jesus that you will save the soul of everyone who prays, “Dear Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you. I confess and forsake my sins. Cleanse me from my sins with your blood. In your mercy, write my name in the Book of Life.”

Father God, deliver your children from oppression and domination so that your Word may be a reality in our lives. May dominion, blessing, fruitfulness, and multiplication be a reality in our lives. Lord, you know us inside and out and you know the sin that easily besets us, from pornography, to excessive eating, to adultery, to alcoholism. Whatever it is Lord, give us the grace to examine ourselves and drop this excess baggage. Give us the grace to endure the process of shedding our load. Give us the grace to despise the shame. In the name of Jesus, help us so we may enjoy the privilege of becoming dominators according to your Word.

Scripture Reading: Isaiah 60:1

“Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.”

Power and Publicity

God, give us the determination to become the dominator rather than the dominated. Help us to catch the vision of your plan in Genesis 1:26: let us be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth, subdue it, and have dominion over everything on earth.

There are seven steps to becoming the dominator the Lord wants us to be:

1. Shed your load by laying aside every weight and sin that easily besets you.

2. Cover your vulnerabilities.

3. Expand your vision; increase your perceptions of the good things God has put in your life.

4. Enter a merger with the Holy Spirit.

5. Acquire the attributes and gifts of the Holy Spirit.

6. Manifest the power of God.

7. Receive extreme publicity from God.

Manifesting the power of God is essential. When you manifest the power of God, you start to have dominion and that dominion is everlasting. Dominion does not end when you leave earth; it exists eternally since you are a child of God. But you cannot manifest the power of God without going through the previous five steps, without merging with the Holy Spirit: “For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin. There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit” (Rom 7:15–8:1).

When you get into that merger and acquisition, there is no condemnation against you because you are in Christ Jesus the deliverer; you walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit makes you free from the law of sin and death. I pray that the Lord Jesus Christ will give you a revelation of the benefits of a merger with the Holy Spirit so that you begin to manifest the power of God. That merger with the Holy Spirit also assures us: “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? (Rom 8:28–32).

When you get into that merger, you will find that not only are all things working together for your good, but you are also manifesting a power that your flesh and your brain cannot comprehend. The gifts of the Holy Spirit will begin to show forth. A merger with the Holy Spirit brings the acquisition of the attributes and the gifts of the Holy Spirit. You need to merge with the Spirit before you can manifest His power, because you cannot manifest what is not in you. Once you manifest the power of God, you will begin to receive the publicity that only God can give you: “Arise, shine, your light is come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you” (Isa 60:1). This is extreme publicity. I pray that God will give you the grace to receive this.

Prayer Points:

God Almighty, give me the grace to get into a merger with the Holy Spirit. Let me begin to manifest your power and begin to receive extreme publicity from you. I pray that you will evolve me from the dominated to the dominator in Jesus’ name.

Scripture Reading: Genesis 1:26–28

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.”

Dominate

Father God, I pray that you pour the anointing for fruitfulness into the lives of your children. In the name of Jesus, pour into our lives the grace of dominion.

The word “dominate” often stirs up negative associations in our mind. We usually equate one who dominates to a selfish despot. However, when God calls us to dominate, He is speaking of being fruitful and ruling in a Godlike manner for we are made in God’s image.

According to the passage, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit drafted a plan for our lives: that upon receiving salvation, we should be fruitful, multiply, replenish, and subdue the earth. His will is that in a godly manner, we have dominion over every living thing that moves on the earth. Beloved, are you dominating or are you being dominated? Are you influencing your world, or is it influencing you?

In order to dominate, the Word says you must be fruitful. Many of us are physically, psychologically, emotionally, and even spiritually barren. I pray that God pours blessings upon the barren, blessings that make each one rich spiritually and physically.

Prayer Points:

It is impossible fulfill God’s original plan of dominion if you have not been washed in the blood of Jesus Christ. Only Jesus can restore to us that which our sins have destroyed: living as we were created to live, in the image of God. Give your life to Jesus now by praying, “Dear Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you. I confess and forsake my sins and ask that you cleanse me from my sins with your blood. Write my name in the Book of Life. Give me the born-again experience so I can begin a new life with you, a life of dominion and fruit.”

Father God, we pray that Genesis 1:28 will be a reality in our lives, that we will be fruitful and multiply and have dominion. Father God, in your mercy and love, look at the lives that are barren and replace them with fruitfulness. We pray for the release of multiplication into all the areas of our lives: our ministries, our families, our resources. Give us the grace to dominate. The Word of God says to be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth, subdue it, and have dominion. Lord God, let your Word work in our lives in Jesus’ name.

Scripture Reading: Acts 3:19

“Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.”

The ABCs of Dwelling in God’s Presence

We thank you Father for your faithfulness and for your everlasting mercies. Because of your mercies, we can dwell in your presence. Because of your presence, we can see correctly; the insignificant things that once consumed our thoughts become diminished and the things that you declare important become magnified. We thank you, for your Word has been made clear, that, “He that dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.  We know that this secret place is indeed your presence, where you hide us from the calamites of this world. We need to be near you, Father. Keep us in your presence.

Dwelling in the presence of God is a necessity. Here, we receive times of refreshing. Our sins are blotted out because the blood of Jesus that qualifies us to come into His presence washes them away. We thank God for the provision of refreshing, cleansing, renewal, and blessing. It is easy to talk about dwelling in the presence of God, but how is it practical? How can you and I value the need to stay in His presence? How can we keep from straying away as we often do? In the same way you know your ABCs and use them in your everyday life, I would like you to know the ABCs of remaining in the presence of God.

Appreciate your need for His presence. Moses was wise enough to say in Exodus 33:15, “If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.” He knew that any venture without His presence would not succeed.

Believe that His presence is available to you through Jesus Christ. The enemy will then be unable to use your own self-condemnation to keep you away from His presence. May God give you the grace to appreciate the need for His presence and also to believe that His presence is available to you through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.

Communicate with God in prayer, mediation, and worship.

Dedicate your life to Him and desire to be perpetually in His presence. You have to come to that place where you have tried everything else and found it false, so you can now confidently dedicate yourself to the Lord and say, “Lord, I just want to be where you are; I want to dwell daily in your presence.”

Experience His presence by keeping His appointments. When you say to God, “When I wake up in the morning, the first thing I’ll do is communicate with you,” do not let your hectic schedule cause you to postpone or cancel your meeting with our Father. When you do not keep His appointment, you cannot experience His presence.

Focus on Him and the fruit of the Holy Spirit as stated in Galatians 5:22–23.

Give to others as you have received from God through the Holy Spirit, and they will benefit immensely.

Holiness should be adopted as a lifestyle and God who is holy will draw nigh to you and cleanse your mind of all impurities. May God give us the grace to adopt that in Jesus’ name.

Inspire. Inspiration may be drawn from reading the Word or from worship. Discover the source of your inspiration and get inspired. Then, you will experience His presence.

Joyful. Commit to being joyful. Everyday, we face circumstances that threaten to isolate us, causing us to wallow in sympathy and serpentine analysis, and leaving us exhausted. Instead, we are to maintain that the joy of the Lord is our strength and therefore, remain joyful.

Know how to operate in His presence. When you enter the King’s palace, you need to learn the appropriate behavior with which to approach the King.

Listen to God. We are all used to talking to God and praying, but we have not learned the art of taking the time to listen to Him. May God give us the grace to listen to Jesus.

Meditate on His word.

Necessity. We must consider His presence a necessity.

Overcome the “pull-aways,” the things that pull you away from staying in His presence.

Persist in your pursuit of God.

Question the things you do not understand. The Holy Spirit will explain them to you.

Reverence His presence in Jesus’ name.

Sensitive. Be sensitive to the Holy Spirit.

Thanksgiving. Adopt an attitude of thanksgiving. No matter what you are going through, there are always many things for which to thank God.

Understand God by cultivating a relationship with Him.

Value His presence.

Worship. Love to worship the Lord; He loves to inhabit the praises of His people.

X-ray everything through His presence. No matter how exciting something may seem, take it to His presence in prayer and let it pass the test of His presence.

Yield to Him.

Zeal. Cultivate a zeal for God.

Prayer Points:

I pray that God will give you the grace to assimilate the ABCs of dwelling in His presence and implement them for your good in Jesus’ name. This, however, is only possible if you are born again and have His Holy Spirit. If you are not born again, come to God and He will come to you. Pray along with me, “Dear Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you. I confess and forsake my sins. Cleanse me from my sins with your blood. Write my name in the Book of Life and keep me in the presence of God. I need His presence.”

Oh Father God, as many as will say this prayer, I ask Lord that you will write their names in the Book of Life, and keep us all in your presence. Bless us all with the blessings of your presence in Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Scripture Reading: Psalm 16:11

“Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.”

The Blessings of God’s Presence

Father, draw us into your presence. Draw us close to you and keep us there, Oh Living God, in the powerful name of Jesus.

God desires that you enter into His presence, for in His presence, He can do the things that He wants to do for you. He also desires that you dwell there. His presence should not be a place you visit, but the place you live, your permanent address.

There are many benefits of remaining in God’s presence. The Word of God says, “The hills melted like wax at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth” (Ps 97:5). And, “Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob” (Ps 114:7). When problems as enormous and unshakable as mountains reach you in God’s presence, they will melt like wax. The God of the whole earth will cause everything to align to His divine will for your life. According to Jeremiah 29:11, His will is for peace and not of evil, to bring you to an expected end. God can do it for He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He is the one who can make a way where there seems to be no way. He is the God of the “suddenlys,” because He can suddenly turn your life around. If you are a Christian, you must have a testimony of the God of the “suddenlys.” He is a loving Father who will never let you down, die, or retract His purposes for your life. He will suddenly do it again, so be encouraged.

Another benefit of our Father’s presence is joy. When you are in the presence of God, times of refreshing come (Acts 3:19). And Psalm 16:11 says, “Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.” Many believers are suffering because their joy is not full; they are happy in one area but terribly miserable in other areas. God is saying, “Come into my presence and your joy will be full in Jesus’ name.” Only God can give you what you need. Come into His presence and dwell there.

Dwell in His presence by meditating on His Word and through prayer and worship. Psalm 100:2 says, “Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.” No matter your situation, if you resolve to come into God’s presence with singing, with the appreciation of your worship, there is nothing God cannot do for you.

As much as we yearn to stay in His presence, there is one thing that takes us away from it: sin. Remember Adam and Eve? God was not even pursuing them; yet, they were running and trying to hide from His presence because they had sinned. Remember Cain? After killing his brother, Cain left the presence of God to dwell in the land of Nod because he was afraid that God would judge him. Many of us, like Cain, are in a place called Nod, which actually means roaming. We are paying roaming charges like we do on our cell phones when we are away from our satellite base. We are going through needless pains and challenges because sin has caused us to roam away from the presence of God. But even in the land of Nod, when Cain turned to God, God answered His prayers.

Prayer Points:

Jesus died to pay the price for all of our sins. You do not have to run away, because you are not guilty if you believe in Jesus. Give your life to Him; be born again and receive the covering of the blood of Jesus. Only with this covering can you be made righteous so that you can enter into His presence. Pray with me now if you are not born again, “Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you. Write my name in the Book of Life. Fill me with your Holy Spirit and draw me into your presence. Let me experience the time of refreshing in God’s presence and let me receive the blessings of the presence of God. In the name of Jesus, I pray.”

Father God Almighty, like David in Psalm 51:11, we are praying, “Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.” God, in your mercy, give us the grace to seek you with all our heart. May we find you and dwell in your presence where we will enjoy the full benefits of the life you have given us in the name of Jesus.

Scripture Reading: Psalm 22:19–20

But be not thou far from me, O Lord: O my strength, haste thee to help me. Deliver my soul from the sword; my darling from the power of the dog.”

Divine Deliverance

Father God, thank you for that supreme sacrifice that worked out our deliverance. Thank you for the blood that Jesus shed for us on the cross on Calvary; the blood that gives us strength from day to day; the blood that will never lose its power. Oh gracious, glorious Living God, thank you for the atonement that has qualified us. We who were not a people are now a people. We are not just a people but you have made us kings and priests. Father, bless your holy name. Thank you, for you have delivered, are delivering, and will yet deliver. Oh Holy Father, in the name of Jesus accept our thanks.

Are you in any form of lack or despair today? Do not be discouraged, for these prophetic words of David point to someone who loves you so much that He accomplished a work of deliverance for you. When Jesus was at the cross paying the price for our sins, He uttered this same prayer. May God give us the grace to appreciate that He loves us so much that He gave us His only begotten Son. When Jesus arrived at Calvary, we brazenly asked, “How much do you love me?” In response, He stretched out His hands and died for us so that we might live eternally and that we would have life more abundantly. He worked out the ultimate deliverance for you and me.

Many of us need deliverance because something that is stronger than us is holding us down. To deliver means to “rescue, set free, or redeem.” But deliverance can only occur by superimposing a superior power to nullify the activities of destructive powers. The most superior power is the power of God because it is divine. That which is from above always overcomes that which is beneath. God is even more powerful than power itself because He is the source of power and by Him all things exist (Col 1:17).

David knew that pleading for life was not enough. He cried out to God to deliver his soul from the sword. Your soul is the seat of your emotions, reasoning, and senses. When talking about deliverance people often say, “Well, no one is physically attacking me, so there is nothing from which I need to be delivered.” But if the seat of your reasoning or your emotions is attacked, then you are effectively being attacked. Indeed, you are held in bondage. For example, if your mind is confused and you are not able to think clearly or make right decisions, you are in bondage. Furthermore, if an attacker has cut off your senses—your ability to taste, smell, and hear from God—he has essentially killed you.

When your soul is sordid it has been cut off and starts to bleed, which attracts the dogs that lick blood. These dogs refer to the workers of Satan, the thief that comes to steal, kill, and destroy. But Jesus has come that you might have life and have it more abundantly (John 10:10). Whenever your soul feels attacked, you need to cry out to God like David did. Pray that the dogs of this world will not come into your life and confuse you. Pray that God will enter your situation and use all His power to rescue you in the name of Jesus. Jesus Christ our Lord has all the power in heaven and on earth. He has blessings in abundance. He has delivered, is delivering, and will deliver. He is waiting for you to invite Him into your situation. He needs you to talk to Him and say, “Lord, my situation does not coincide with your Word. Lord God Almighty, come and deliver my soul from the sword, deliver my soul from the power of the dog, for the dogs are licking my wounds right now.”

Prayer Points:

If you have never given your life to Jesus, take the next step and pray with me, “Dear Lord Jesus, I need this work of atonement to work for good in my life. I surrender to you and I confess and forsake my sins. Cleanse me with your blood. Lord God Almighty, fill me with the power of the Holy Spirit and let me experience divine deliverance in the name of Jesus. Amen.”

Father God Almighty, in the name of Jesus, we call down your power to come and superimpose itself upon the earthly powers that have held us in bondage. We pray that you will shake off the vipers that have attached themselves to our handiworks. We throw them into the fire of the Holy Spirit today in the name of Jesus. Let there be a new season in our lives, that God will descend upon us in our rooms, in our offices, and in our individual situations. We pray that God will come and do a work of divine deliverance to the glory of God in the name of Jesus.

Scripture Reading: Matthew 3:13–17

“And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased” (Matt 3:17).

Giving God Pleasure

Father God, we ask in Jesus’ name that you give us the grace to give you pleasure, for your Word says clearly that you created all things for your pleasure. We pray that you will be able to say about our lives, “I am well pleased.”

“Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him. But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so for now: for thus it becometh us to fulfill all righteousness. Then he suffered Him. And Jesus, when He was baptized, went up straight way out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased” (Matt 3:13–17).

Wouldn’t it be lovely if God said to you, “This is my beloved child, in whom I am well pleased”? When God says this, He is pleased with who you are inside. Psalm 45:13 says, “The king’s daughter is all glorious within.” I pray that God will put glory within us today and that this glory will cause us to have humility. In this passage we see Jesus’ humility. He came to be baptized because He understood the value of righteousness. Decorated in God’s glory, He humbled Himself in order to fulfill all righteousness. God marveled that His Son had humbled Himself and allowed John to baptize Him.

God was pleased with His Son and proclaimed it. Moreover, He pronounced that Jesus was His beloved Son. When God calls you “beloved,” He means you are wearing His love, behaving His love. It is possible to have love in your heart but not act it out. God looked at Jesus and saw the act of humility that was based on love for God. God also called Him “Son.” Humility causes us to behave like children of God. Many of us are suffering because we act like adults of God who know it all. God is saying, “Come and be a child again and I will lead you; I’ll be your father.” After making the pronouncement, God made provision for Jesus. He received the empowerment of the Holy Spirit to fulfill His ministry, His destiny. It is clear that pleasing God brings about a proclamation, pronouncement, and provision.

Let us now examine the life of Solomon. In 1 Kings 3, Solomon had just been made king and had given sacrifices to God. God loves sacrifices, but humility excites Him. When God offered to bless Solomon with whatever he desired, Solomon in verses 5–9, analyzed his humble state and finally said, “Lord, you’ve made me king over such great people.” If you are familiar with the story of the Israelites, you know they were not that great; they were extremely stubborn. But Solomon was humble. He requested a heart that would understand these people to facilitate righteous rule. God got excited. God looked at him and said, “You’re a king, yet you didn’t ask for the lives of your enemies. You didn’t ask for riches. Instead, you want me to give you an understanding heart?” This pleased God and He blessed Solomon with wisdom and understanding beyond measure.

These were the attributes necessary to fulfill his destiny. Solomon lacked the wisdom, experience, or the look that his brother, Adonijah, the previous king, had. Not only did God’s gift bring him wisdom, but it also brought him fame. The Bible says Solomon became famous for his wisdom and wealth. It also says He had “largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore” (1 Kgs 4:29). For you to be generous, you must have enough to give away. Just having enough for yourself is not good enough, but being blessed enough to be a blessing is another dimension. This cannot happen except God sees in you what gives Him pleasure. While faith, sacrifices, and worship please God, the number one thing that gives God pleasure is humility.

Can you imagine the Lord Jesus without the power of the open heavens? Can you imagine the life Solomon would have lived without wisdom? God gave them everything they needed when they gave Him pleasure. I pray that God will give you the grace to appreciate the need to give Him pleasure in the name of Jesus.

Prayer Points:

Father God, we pray that you will give us the grace of humility. We pray for humility today because it will bring about the other attributes that will cause you to be pleased with us, and give to us all that we need to fulfill our destiny in Jesus’ name.

Scripture Reading: Psalm 102:1–17

“But thou, O Lord, shalt endure for ever; and thy remembrance unto all generations. Thou salt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come” (Ps 102:12–13).

Favor and Mercy

Father God, we thank you for the privilege of life and of life in you. Lord, intervene in the affairs of our lives; lead us in the path of righteousness for your name’s sake. Oh Living God, when we are overwhelmed and confused we come to you. Deliver us from every evil plan and work, and from our destructions and diversions, in the name of Jesus.

“Hear my prayer, O Lord, and let my cry come unto thee. Hide not thy face from me in the day when I am in trouble; incline thine ear unto me: in the day when I call answer me speedily. For my days are consumed like smoke, and my bones are burned as an hearth. My heart is smitten, and withered like grass; so that I forget to eat my bread. By reason of the voice of my groaning my bones cleave to my skin. I am like a pelican of the wilderness: I am like an owl of the dessert. I watch, and am as a sparrow alone upon the house top. My enemies reproach me all the day; and they that are mad against me are sworn against me. For I have eaten ashes like bread, and mingled my drink with weeping. Because of thine indignation and thy wrath: for thou hast lifted me up, and cast me down. My days are like a shadow that declineth; and I am withered like grass” (Ps 102:1–11). David ends his cry to the Lord by saying the time of favor has come, the set time is now (Ps 102:12–13). He continues, “For thy servants take pleasure in her stones, and favour the dust thereof. So the heathen shall fear the name of the Lord, and all the kings of the earth thy glory. When the Lord shall build up Zion, He shall appear in his glory. He will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer” (Ps 102:14–17).

Beloved, are you overwhelmed, at the end of your merit? Are you at the place where the only thing that can save you is the favor of God? You are in good company; David expressed the same sentiments. If you know in your heart that you need God to arise, you first must arise in prayer, in preaching, in praise, and in reading His word. You must arise in your communication with God. Cry unto Him, “Lord arise and have mercy upon me. For the time to favor, the set time is come.”

How do you know it is the set time for God to favor you? The set time is when everything you trust has failed; when you can hold onto nothing but the mercy of God; when everything around you seems shaky, like there is no place to stand and there is no hope. Now is the time to open your mouth and call on your Maker, your Father who loves you to the end. The mercies of God are great, sure, and everlasting; they accompany His favor. But His favor is released at His discretion, so let us spend this time asking God to release His favor.

Prayer Points:

Father God Almighty, arise from your rest and be blessed by those you favored with salvation. You are the God of the “suddenlys.” In your mercy and in your love, Oh Lord, arise suddenly and favor those who desperately need your favor. Eliminate our need for our own merits. May your favor encompass the righteous as with a shield. Father, arise in your strength and power and release your favor into our families, our ministries, and our lives. I pray that in your love, you will encourage and favor that one who needs a breakthrough, that one who needs deliverance, provision, and healing. Father God Almighty, you are sufficient for every situation.

This favor is for those who have given their life to Jesus. If you have never given your life to Him, this is your set time for salvation. Pray along with me now, “Dear Lord Jesus, have mercy upon me and save my soul. Write my name in the Book of Life. Bless me with salvation, and as you bless me with salvation, fill me with your Spirit, and as you fill me with your Spirit, let your favor arise in my life, for the set time has come.”

Father God Almighty, let your mercy and your favor be the portions of your children for yea, the set time for favor and mercy has come.

Scripture Reading: Psalm 86

“Shew me a token for good; that they which hate me may see it, and be ashamed: because thou, Lord, hast holpen me, and comforted me” (Ps 86:17).

A Token for Good

Father God, we pray for restoration. Take us back to when you were our first love. Deliver us from the “pull-aways” that make us less than we ought to be in you.

Are you poor in spirit today? Are you financially poor, socially and spiritually poor, or needy? Pray with me this prayer of David:

“Bow down thine ear, O Lord, hear me: for I am poor and needy. Preserve my soul; for I am holy: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee. Be merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto thee daily. Rejoice the soul of thy servant: for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul. For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee. Give ear, O Lord, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications. In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me. Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto thy works. All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name. For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone. Teach me thy way, O Lord; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name. I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore. For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell. O God, the proud are risen against me, and the assemblies of violent men have sought after my soul; and have not set thee before them. But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth. O turn unto me and have mercy upon me; give thy strength unto thy servant, and save the son of thine handmaid. Shew me a token for good; that they which hate me may see it, and be ashamed: because thou, Lord, hast holpen me, and comforted me” (Ps 86). May the good Lord in His mercy hear and answer our prayers today, in Jesus’ name.

As written in verse 17, a token means something significant and positive. May God in His mercy show you off as a token for good. May He use a significant positive event or development in your life to show you off. May God use something that is positive and full of wonders as a declaration of His mercy towards you. The Bible says that we are for signs and wonders (Isa 8:18). When God shows you off, those who hate you see it in awe and know that God has manifested His help and comfort. David said, “Though preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies” (Ps 23:5). Where you have been abused, mislabeled, and downgraded, God will upgrade you in the name of Jesus. God will show you off as a positively significant person, as someone whom He loves dearly that those who hate you may see it and be ashamed.

If you are facing a challenge pray now, “Lord God Almighty, show me off as a token for good. Use me, Oh Lord; show me off for your Kingdom, because there are many who hate me, have slandered me, and have given me the wrong label.” Our Lord can superimpose His significance on the insignificant and His supernatural power on the natural power to eliminate all the labels of the enemy.

Prayer Points:

If you have never given your life to Jesus, God cannot show you off except He repackages you in the righteousness of Jesus. Confess your sins and pray, “Lord Jesus, I accept you as my personal Lord and Savior. Fill me with your Spirit. Lead me and operate me by your Spirit and also use me as a token for good.  Help me and comfort me in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

Father God Almighty, I pray that you will perpetually put to shame the lives of all who hate your children. Father God, walking with you and your Word in this world brings about enmity, hatred, disdain, dislike, and all kinds of attack. But Lord we thank you, because “greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world” (1 John 4:4). Manifest your help globally for your children, I pray in Jesus’ name.

Scripture Reading: John 19:28–30

After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst. Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a sponge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth. When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.”

It Is Finished

We thank you, Father God Almighty, for the work on the cross that Jesus did on behalf of everyone who believes. Lord, we thank you for and agree with your redemption plan. We boldly approach your throne because that redemption plan made it possible. For you accomplished it and then said, “It is finished.” Father God Almighty, whatever your Word says, let it be real in our lives and give us the grace to communicate this reality to others.

Jesus said, “It is finished,” bowed His head, and gave up the ghost. His death on the cross purchased us. He did not buy us on sale; He paid even more than full price, because He was sinless but died for sinners like you and me. Since our Lord said, “It is finished,” it should be finished. Everything that He died on the cross to deliver us from must cease from working. Sin is finished because you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Our debt is finished; Jesus paid the price for all we owed as a result of our sins. He endured the stripes of the cross for our healing (Isa 53:5; 1 Pet 2:24). His death brought an end to death. Because when Jesus died, He went into death and took the stinger out of the bee of death so although death may be flying around, its sting is gone. With this sting gone, hell is finished for those who believe (1 Cor 15:55–57).

When Jesus thirsted and asked for vinegar, He decreed also that thirst is finished. He said if we are thirsty to come unto Him and drink of the living water that flows out of Him (John 7:37–39). And that living water is ever flowing. Lack is finished because Jesus said, “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” (John 10:10). Sorrow is finished: In Him, you will have joy that no man can take away (Isa 53:4; John 15:11). Bondage is finished because Jesus, when He was being arrested, said to His captors, “I am he: if therefore ye seek me, let these [Jesus’ disciples] go their way” (John 18:8). Jesus subjected Himself to captivity at Gethsemane so that you and I, like His disciples who were with Him, can be free from captivity. Fear is finished. That is why “fear not” is repeated 365 times in the Bible. It is repeated so that you will stop being afraid because Jesus said, “It is finished.”

What an amazing grace that saves wretches like us that were once blind but now can see. So blindness and ignorance are finished (Luke 7:22). And to those lies that the enemy keeps telling you, our Lord Jesus said, “It is finished.”

Prayer Points:

The decree, “It is finished,” cannot begin to operate in your life unless you give your life to Jesus. You can do that now by praying, “Dear Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you. I confess and forsake my sins. Cleanse me from my sins with your blood. Write my name in the Book of Life and let me experience the blessings of the finished work of Calvary.”

Father God Almighty, I thank you for the finished work of the cross. I thank you because the work that my Lord did on Good Friday will never be in vain because it is finished. Let hell, death, hunger, thirst, fear, bondage, lack, ignorance, frustration, sorrow, lies, and borrowing and owing all be finished in our lives in the name of Jesus. Father, we appreciate your atonement and agree with you that it will not be in vain. Amen.

Scripture Reading: Ephesians 5:14–16

“Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”

Redeeming the Time

Father Lord Jesus, we love to call your name for your name is our only hope. At the name of Jesus, things in heaven and earth, and things within and around us all must bow. So, today we call your name upon time. We ask you to redeem our time because the days are evil. We thank you because no challenge can withstand the name of Jesus.

It is possible to be spiritually asleep. When you are asleep, you are alive but can do nothing, nor do you know what is happening around you. Many of us are in that state of spiritual slumber and God is telling us to wake up and redeem the time.

In order to understand the redemption of time, one must understand the concept of time. Time is the period between two eternities allocated to every person born into earth. At birth, each human is released from eternity past into time, and at death when one’s assignment on earth is completed, he/she will be released into eternity to come. We are in the realm of time and although we cannot control it, God can and does control time. Our time is in His hands and He is able to redeem it.

Let us open our spiritual eyes and confess that we have not made the most of our time; we have procrastinated and even slept. But Joel offers encouragement: “And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you. And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed” (Joel 2:25–26). Here, the locust has eaten the years of the Israelites. For many of us, the locust has eaten our time, leaving us feeling defeated. We cannot afford to continue wasting time because the Bible says that these days are evil. I assure you that God will honor His Word that He will restore unto you the years that the locust has eaten. God is able to do this and cause you to celebrate like David: “Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s” (Ps 103:1–5).

If you perpetually cultivate and maintain sensitivity to God’s presence, He can redeem your time by renewing your youth like the eagle’s. God is calling you to enter into His presence, because in His presence there will be times of refreshing (Acts 3:19). In the presence of the Lord, your youth will be renewed like the eagle’s and the time that the locust has eaten will be restored.

The Word of God says, “Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast” (Isa 26:20). God is calling you into that place of intimacy with Him. He is saying, “Hide yourself for a little moment until that locust that eats up time departs.” Draw nigh to Him and He will draw nigh to you.

Prayer Points:

Father God Almighty, I pray that in your mercy, you will give us the grace to draw nigh to you. Redeem our time, Oh Lord, in the name of Jesus, and let that time be well spent in your presence. In your faithfulness, restore to us all the years that the locust has eaten.

Scripture Reading: Ecclesiastes 5:1–7

“Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few . . . Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay” (Eccl 5:2, 5).

Do Not Vow

Father, in your mercy, deliver us from the traps and bondages of vows that we have not kept. Deliver us from foolish vows. Give us the grace to take counsel from your Word.

“Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God, and be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil” (Eccl 5:1). Next we are told not to be impulsive with our words of commitment (Eccl 5:2). “For a dream cometh through the multitude of business; and a fool’s voice is known by multitude of words. When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed” (Eccl 5:3–4). It is better that we do not promise what we cannot deliver (Eccl 5:5). “Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin; neither say thou before the angel, that it was an error: wherefore should God be angry at thy voice, and destroy the work of thine hands? For in the multitude of dreams and many words there are also divers [diverse] vanities: but fear thou God” (Eccl 5:6–7).

Many of us are familiar with making pledges. Upon joining an organization, members are encouraged to pledge a specified amount of money. After being encouraged to “step out in faith,” we make all sorts of promises. This is sometimes the case even in Christian ministries. We make vows with good intentions and at emotional moments, though we are not sure if we will be able to keep them. Either we are ill equipped to fulfill the vow or we forget. Consequently, we decide to do whatever we can do, as little as it might be, and justify our actions by saying, “God understands.” But the Bible teaches that God does not understand. In fact, God is angry at such a voice uttering empty promises to Him. Can you imagine praying fervently, but as your voice comes out it causes God to be angry? What if God gets so furious that He destroys the works of your hands? Do not think that God does not hear when you make a vow to Him. Honor Him by fulfilling your vows, or better yet, do not vow. No matter how sweet the speaker or the pastor is, do not pledge; just give when you can afford it and give joyfully so that God will reward you.

If you are locked up in that bondage, ask our Lord Jesus to pray for you.  Jesus is not only the Lord and Savior, but He is also the Husband of the church: His body of believers. The Word of God says that if the husband nullifies the vows, it is nullified (Num 30:8,12). There is hope for deliverance from the destruction that is upon us due to our careless vows; Jesus sits at the right hand of God the Father interceding for us, and God loves to hear His Son’s voice.

Prayer Points:

Father God Almighty, we thank you for your reconciliatory work in our Lord Jesus Christ. We pray that our Lord, Jesus Christ Himself, will pray for us concerning careless unfulfilled vows, even as we determine in our hearts never to fall into that trap again. Oh Lord, give us the grace to fulfill the vows we can fulfill and deliver us from the bondage we are in because of the ones we cannot fulfill. Oh Holy Jesus, in your mercy, intercede for us today. Amen.

Scripture Reading: Psalm 71:7

“I am as a wonder unto many; but thou art my strong refuge.”

Evolving into a Wonder

Father God, thank you because our lives are in your hands. Thank you because by your grace and your power, we will evolve into a wonder.

Michael Jordan is famous for his amazing basketball career. No one can forget the spectacular slam dunks he did with such ease. There was a calmness that accompanied his greatness. Truly, Michael Jordan was a wonder at basketball. Similarly, God’s plan is for you to be a wonder: to acquire greatness and experience His comfort. Your life should evidence miraculous works since you are God’s child.

The Bible discusses what it means to be a wonder: “I am as a wonder unto many; but thou art my strong refuge. . . . Thou shalt increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side. I will also praise thee with the psaltery, even thy truth, O my God: unto thee will I sing with the harp, O thou Holy One of Israel. My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing unto thee; and my soul, which thou hast redeemed. My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day long: for they are confounded, for they are brought unto shame, that seek my hurt” (Ps 71:7, 21–24).

In these verses, David says he is a wonder to many. The key to being a wonder is found in verse 21. God has to increase your greatness and comfort you on every side: financially, spiritually, and emotionally. This can only happen when the Spirit of God comes upon you. The Spirit of God came upon David because David brought out the Spirit of God though his praise. If someone came to you every day singing your praises, worshiping you, and complimenting you, wouldn’t you increase the person’s greatness if could? David said his soul rejoiced greatly when he sang unto the Lord. Does your soul rejoice when you praise God or are you just singing along with the worship leaders and going through the motions? Those who worship God must worship Him in spirit and truth (John 4:23–24). According to this psalm, David praised God with psaltery and truth; he praised God with the harp. God deserves your heartfelt praise. David further says that he will talk about God’s righteousness for God confounded his enemies. When your praise is sincere, God will confound those who become upset with you because you have evolved into a wonder. Be filled with the praise of God so that His Spirit will come upon you and cause wonderful things to happen in your life.

The New Testament also provides some insight into being a wonder: “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord” (2 Cor 3:18). Here, becoming a wonder means being transformed into the image of Jesus by the Spirit of God. This encompasses the idea of possessing greatness and being comforted, as we saw in Psalm 71. The first step to becoming a wonder, according to this verse in Corinthians, is to look at Jesus, the ultimate wonder. If you behold the glory of God, you will be changed into His image. Just as the Psalms testified, this New Testament verse also states that the Holy Spirit is the only means by which we can evolve into a wonder. May the Spirit of the Living God descend upon you right now. May becoming a wonder be your reality in the name of Jesus.

Prayer Points:

If you have never given your life to Jesus, now is the time to do so. Pray with me, “Dear Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you. Fill me with your Spirit and take me also from glory to glory.”

Oh gracious Living God, may your name be glorified in your children. Give us the grace to behold your glory in Jesus’ name. Pour out your Spirit upon us so we who are for signs and wonders will begin to evolve into a wonder. Let us keep going from wonder to wonder so that our first names indeed will be wonderful because our Father is wonderful.

Scripture Reading: Isaiah 54

Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes; For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited” (Isa 54:2–3).

Expand Your Vision

Father God, we thank you because your thoughts for us are for peace and you think of us above all others. Lord Jesus, thank you for you are always interceding for us. In your mercy, pray that we will have dominion on the earth.

Previously, we have discussed God’s plan for us to have dominion over the earth, as stated in Genesis. We mentioned two things that we must do in order to dominate, but have now added a third.

1. Lay aside every weight and sin that easily besets you.

2. Cover your vulnerabilities by avoiding the sources of your weaknesses.

3. Expand your vision.

“Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the Lord. Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes; For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited. Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more. For thy Maker is thine husband; the Lord of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called. For the Lord hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God. For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee. In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the Lord thy Redeemer. For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee. For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee. O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires. And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones. And all thy children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of thy children. In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee. Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake. Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord” (Isa 54).

If you are a servant of God, the message of these verses is your heritage. Today we focus on the verse that encourages us to expand our tent. Many of us are not dominating but are being dominated because we always see merely what is immediately ahead of us. You cannot dominate without first having a vision and then expanding that vision. The Bible says that we should write our vision and make it plain so that others might read it and run with it (Hab 2:2). Write the best-case scenario for your life. There are angels of God waiting for you to write out this expanded vision so that they can minister to you the favor, breakthrough, and deliverance needed to turn that vision into reality.

Prayer Points:

You cannot begin to think this way without the power of the Holy Spirit that enters you upon salvation. If you have not accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, pray with me now, “Dear Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you. I confess and forsake my sins. Cleanse me from my sins with your blood and give me the grace to become born again. Write my name in the Book of Life so that I may begin to dominate.”

Father God Almighty, give us the grace to expand our vision. Make our vision a reality to your glory, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Scripture Reading: Psalm 69

“But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O Lord, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation. Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink: let me be delivered from them that hate me, and out of the deep waters” (Ps 69:13–14).

Intensify Your Prayers

Father God, we are desperate for you because the premeditated attack of the enemy is upon us. Lord God Almighty put an end to this attack. Give us the grace to intensify our prayers in these times.

“Save me, O God; for the waters are come in unto my soul. I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing: I am come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me. I am weary of my crying: my throat is dried: mine eyes fail while I wait for my God. They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of mine head: they that would destroy me, being mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: then I restored that which I took not away. O God, thou knowest my foolishness; and my sins are not hid from thee. Let not them that wait on thee, O Lord God of hosts, be ashamed for my sake: let not those that seek thee be confounded for my sake, O God of Israel. Because for thy sake I have borne reproach; shame hath covered my face. I am become a stranger unto my brethren, and an alien unto my mother's children. For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me. When I wept, and chastened my soul with fasting, that was to my reproach. I made sackcloth also my garment; and I became a proverb to them. They that sit in the gate speak against me; and I was the song of the drunkards” (Ps 96:1–12).

In anguish, David is pouring out his heart to the Lord, asking, “in the multitude of thy mercy hear me” (Ps 96: 13). His prayer intensifies: “Let not the waterflood overflow me, neither let the deep swallow me up, and let not the pit shut her mouth upon me. Hear me, O Lord; for thy lovingkindness is good: turn unto me according to the multitude of thy tender mercies. And hide not thy face from thy servant; for I am in trouble: hear me speedily. Draw nigh unto my soul, and redeem it: deliver me because of mine enemies. Thou hast known my reproach, and my shame, and my dishonour: mine adversaries are all before thee. Reproach hath broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: and I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none. They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink. Let their table become a snare before them: and that which should have been for their welfare, let it become a trap. Let their eyes be darkened, that they see not; and make their loins continually to shake. Pour out thine indignation upon them, and let thy wrathful anger take hold of them. Let their habitation be desolate; and let none dwell in their tents. For they persecute him whom thou hast smitten; and they talk to the grief of those whom thou hast wounded. Add iniquity unto their iniquity: and let them not come into thy righteousness. Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous. But I am poor and sorrowful: let thy salvation, O God, set me up on high. I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving. This also shall please the Lord better than an ox or bullock that hath horns and hoofs. The humble shall see this, and be glad: and your heart shall live that seek God. For the Lord heareth the poor, and despiseth not his prisoners. Let the heaven and earth praise him, the seas, and every thing that moveth therein. For God will save Zion, and will build the cities of Judah: that they may dwell there, and have it in possession. The seed also of his servants shall inherit it: and they that love his name shall dwell therein” (Ps 69:15–36).

David faces such an immense challenge that he fears for his soul: “let not the pit shut her mouth upon me” (Ps 96:15). Are you at that point when the struggles you deal with have encompassed your soul? Earlier you were mentally and physically tired of it all, but now your soul is tired, vexed, even grieved. If you are at that stage, your miracle is here, because you have reached that place where you will not turn back. You have three options:

1. Ignore and abandon the challenging problem.

2. Succumb to the situation.

3. Pray to God intensely.

As a Christian, you cannot just remove yourself from your challenges; you cannot abandon life. On the other hand, as a Christian, succumbing to your circumstance is not your portion; you are meant to be the head and not the tail (Deut 28:13). Therefore, you must call on God with a different intensity. Such intense prayer is a mixture of prayer, praise, and warfare prayer. Warfare prayer is prayer based on the Word of God. Intensify your prayer in the same way David did. Pray like your life depends on it, because it does. Do not relax; fight to the finish line, to your victory. May God give you the grace to intensify your prayers when your soul is tired of a situation.

Prayer Points:

Lord God Almighty, give us the grace to understand the need to intensify our prayers to you when our soul is tired. Nullify any preprogrammed systemic attack on your children. Oh Living God, teach us how to pray through your Word and help us to intensify our prayers when our situation is troubled. Amen.

Scripture Reading: Haggai 2:19

“Is the seed yet in the barn? Yea, as yet the vine, and the fig tree, and the pomegranate, and the olive tree, hath not brought forth: from this day will I bless you.”

From This Day I Will Bless You

Father God, give us the grace to continue worshiping you in spirit and in truth. And as we worship you, bless your people indeed. Deliver us from every curse that has been operating in our lives, in Jesus’ name.

Boy meets girl. They fall in love. Boy finds out that girl comes from a poor troubled home. Boy’s privileged family disapproves, but boy loves and pursues girl anyway. Versions of this familiar scenario pop up in movies, television shows, and books. People are drawn to the power of true love, as elusive as it might be. Beloved, God’s love for His children is even stronger, even more enticing. So much so, that God has proclaimed in His word that He will bless His own.

God’s blessings do not depend on your circumstances because God’s love for us is eternal. He has pardoned our iniquity and passed by the transgression of the remnant of His heritage; He does not retain His anger forever, because He delights in mercy (Mic 7:18). We see this in the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ, who died to redeem us. Indeed, God’s blessings do not depend on economic indicators or any other circumstance. As Haggai recounts: the vine, pomegranate, and olive trees had not brought forth fruit, but God declared that He would bless him from that day forth. Today gas prices are volatile and things are looking bleak, but stop looking around; nothing can hinder blessings from God.

Even if a curse or any other form of incapacitation is oppressing you, the Living God will deliver and bless you. Let us pray: Oh Father God, your Word says that you delight in mercy; have mercy upon us. Pour down the blessings, the anointing, and the graces of your mercy upon your children. Pardon our sins. Rebuke the devourer for our sake and do not destroy the fruits of our ground. Let our land be fruitful so that all the nations can witness it and call us blessed. Let the earth be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord. Father God, be magnified in the lives of your children. You said we should bring all our tithes into the storehouse that there may be meat in your house and we should prove whether you will not open unto us the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing that there shall not be room enough to receive (Mal 3:10). Father, bless those who tithe in order to further your Kingdom. Living God, let your Word work in our lives. Only you can give us these blessings because you have given us grace to fear your name and serve you.

Prayer Points:

This prayer of blessings will become real in your life as you act according to God’s will. If you have never given your life to Jesus, pray with me now, “Dear Lord Jesus, I want to come into the family of God. I confess and forsake my sins. Cleanse me from my sins and write my name in the Book of Life. Bless me with the born-again experience. Deliver me from my devourers so you may receive all the glory.”

Father God Almighty, have mercy upon your people and bless them according to your Word that says, “From this day, I will bless you.” Bless us anew in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Scripture Reading: Galatians 5:22–23

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.”

Fruit and Gifts for Wonder

Father God, water and nourish the fruit of the Spirit that you have given us. Give us the grace to mature into a wonder.

God desires for you to be wonderful. His will for you is that you are a sign and a wonder. Spiritual significance and miraculous work should emanate naturally from you. In order to be a wonder, God must be present in your life; you must work for God through the help of the Holy Spirit. His office is never too full for a new employee and promotions and bonuses are always available because He is not affected by the economy. By His Holy Spirit, He will transform you from glory to glory into a wonder. Worshiping, serving, and following His spirit will initiate the process where God evolves you into a wonder by the maturation of the fruit of His Spirit and the manifestation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. What is the fruit of the Holy Spirit? The fruit of the Spirit is agape unconditional love; joy that is always present; peace that passes understanding; longsuffering; gentleness; goodness; faith; and a meek temperance. When these segments of the one fruit grow in your life and mature, you will have evolved into a wonder. It is therefore important to nurture your fruit and grow as a Christian.

The maturity of the fruit will cause your gifts to be displayed so clearly that it will benefit not only yourself but others as well. While the fruit of the Spirit is for your training and maturity in Christ, the gifts are for your sharing and increased wonderful nature. What are the gifts of the Holy Spirit? “But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers [diverse] kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will” (1 Cor 12:7–11).

God has given you one or more of these nine gifts and they are waiting to become manifest, proving that you are indeed a wonder. If you are letting your gifts hibernate, I encourage you to use them. The more you share your gifts with others, the more you receive the manifestation of them. Diligence with your gifts will make you stand as a wonder before kings in due time. Your gifts will confirm that you are indeed a miraculous wonder by the Spirit of God.

Prayer Points:

Father God, I ask in the name of Jesus that the fruit of the Spirit be nurtured into maturity in each one of your children. May we receive the grace to manage our spiritual gifts in a godly way, in a way that is pleasing to you and beneficial to the body of Christ. Fill us with your Holy Spirit. By the Spirit’s power, give us the grace to cope with the glory that will come when wonders begin to happen. Thank you for your plan for us; it is far better than what we could ever imagine. Amen.

Scripture Reading: 1 Corinthians 12:7–11

But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers [diverse] kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.”

Gifts of the Spirit

Father God, we thank you because the power of the Holy Spirit is available to us by your love. Thank you for sending us the Comforter, your Spirit.

There are tons of books and classes about spiritual gifts, even self-evaluations to determine your gift. Such popularity is only proper since these gifts do indeed confirm that you are a wonderful child of God. If you are born again, filled with the Spirit of God, and if the fruit of the Holy Spirit is evident in your life, then you should manifest at least one of the nine spiritual gifts.

1. Word of Wisdom

Wisdom from God provides solutions to present or future problems. An example is the Ten Commandments, which gives instructions on living in a manner that pleases God.

2. Word of Knowledge

Knowledge is a revelation from God that clarifies challenging situations. For instance, the Lord might instruct you that someone with a fever is not suffering from merely physical symptoms; rather, the problem is a generational curse. This word of knowledge given to you from God accurately decodes and solves the problem.

3. Faith

Anyone with this gift has a higher level of faith than the average Christian. He or she internalizes the Word and believes God for the impossible. If you have this gift, exercise it on behalf of your fellow brethren who are facing impossible situations.

4. Healing

This gift goes beyond the laying of hands that all Christians possess. It is a special deposit of healing.

5. Working of Miracles

This refers to the ability to cause unnatural things to supernaturally happen by the power of the Holy Spirit, not by any other power. If you have this gift begin to share it so that oppressed Christians can be delivered and God can receive the glory.

6. Prophecy

Prophecy is a two-fold gift of proclaiming the Word of God either by foretelling or forth-telling. (When I teach the Bible, I am forth-telling.)

7. Discerning of the Spirits

This is the ability to decode spiritual situations and identify any false prophet. People with this gift can listen to someone delivering the Word of God and decipher whether the person is speaking by the Spirit of God or by another power.

8. Diverse Tongues

Persons with this gift have the ability to speak in a language that is not intellectually known to them.

9. Interpretation of Tongues

An interpreter is needed to translate the strange tongue to the body of Christ.

If you are a child of God with mature fruit of the Spirit within you, then this fruit will bring about the manifestation of your spiritual gifts. I pray you will share your gifts withal; the body of Christ needs your gift in this generation.

Prayer Points:

You can only display these gifts of the Spirit if you have received the Holy Spirit. If you are not born again, pray with me, “Dear Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you and accept you as my personal Lord and Savior. I confess my sins and turn away from them. Cleanse me from my sins with your blood. Write my name in the Book of Life and manifest my gift so that others will profit in the powerful name of Jesus.”

Father, cause your children to share their gifts withal so that the body of Christ will profit and you will receive the glory. Thank you for the grace to be a wonder, in Jesus’ name.

Scripture Reading: 2 Corinthians 4:8–10

We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.”

Grounded in Challenges

Father God, help us to believe that you can do the impossible even in the midst of difficult situations. Use these challenges to evolve us into a wonder, Oh Lord, and renew our faith.

“Whatever doesn’t kill you will only make you stronger.” This common adage has some truth to it, though it may sound a bit pessimistic. God desires to evolve you into a wonder through the challenges you endure, but His Word gives assurance that these challenges will not kill you. God wants to manifest His glory through you, so you can become a wonderful child of God like David and Solomon.

David’s life was wrought with challenges that were, in reality, stepping stones. One difficulty was his lowly ancestry. His grandmother Ruth had lost all her possessions. Yet, Boaz redeemed Ruth and they begat Obed, which means “a servant and worshiper of God.” Obed begat Jesse, which means “Yahweh exists.” Then Jesse begat David. Indeed, David came from a humble family.

David faced conflict with his family. He was rejected; his father doubted that David could really be king though Samuel had anointed him. Considered unimportant to his family, David was sent to the field to tend sheep. But this only caused him to embrace God. David learned to praise God in spite of his circumstances and developed an intense intimacy with God and His Holy Spirit. David’s challenges trained him for the future when Israel would need someone to defend God. Because David had such a close relationship with God, he rose to the occasion and fearlessly fought Goliath the giant. God helped him defeat Goliath and his fame spread, causing David to become a wonder for all generations.

The life of David illustrates that evolving into a wonder will initially have challenges that limit the possibility of that person becoming a wonder. But God carries us through our challenges, turning trials into training grounds, a means of polishing and disciplining His children. I pray that the status of your family or any other challenge will not inhibit your realization of the truth: you are meant to be a wonder in Jesus’ name.

Solomon, David’s son, is another man who evolved into a wonder. He was born through scandal; his mother, Bathsheba had committed adultery. Therefore, his brother Adonijah, who was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, was favored to be king. However, Adonijah was not grounded in challenges nor had he been trained through tests and trials, so his kingship did not last. Solomon, the one who was serving and the one who had overcome foundational challenges, was able to use these difficulties as stepping stones. He replaced Adonijah as king because he had a spirit of service. In 1 Kings 3, we see that Solomon gave not two or three, but thousands of burnt offerings. God then gave Solomon the anointing to become a wonder forever. 1 Kings 4–10 is filled with all the blessings God showered upon Solomon.

I pray in the name of Jesus that you will be metamorphosed into a wonder. God can evolve you despite your circumstance. With God and the Holy Spirit in your life, the gifts of the Spirit will metamorphose you into a wonder. Yes, the spiritual gifts along with the fruit of the Spirit will work together within you through training, maturity, and manifestation to evolve you into a wonder.

Prayer Points:

God is looking for wonderful children in our generation. If you have not given your life to Jesus, this is not a possibility for you. Please pray with me, “Dear Lord Jesus, restore me so I can be called a child of God. You made me in the beginning, now take me to that place of salvation. Save me from the penalty of my sins. Take me and fill me with the Holy Spirit so that I will become a wonder in this generation.”

Oh gracious Father, in your mercy, evolve each one of us into a wonder. Keep us from being overwhelmed by our challenges; give us the grace to consider them necessary stepping stones for our evolution into wonderful children.

Scripture Reading: Isaiah 8:18

Behold, I and the children whom the Lord hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the Lord of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.”

Healing in Body, Soul, and Spirit

Oh precious Holy Spirit, rain down upon us today. Heal the body, soul, and spirit of each one of your children. We pray for total healing.

Have you accepted Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior? Are you a child of God? Do you love God? Do you work in His ways? Are you filled with His Holy Spirit? If so, you are for signs and wonders.

Though it is God’s plan for you to be a wonder in this generation, many of us are far from that mark. Right now, many Christians do not feel wonderful because they are sick in body, soul, and spirit. They lack joy; their hope is lost; they do not even understand why they are still alive. They live with pain, having been rejected by people they love. But today I pray that the Holy Spirit will visit you where you are and give you total healing.

Father God Almighty, I ask that in your mercy and in your love, that you will release your children from captivity. Free them from all captivity that is causing sickness in their bodies, souls, and spirits. Father God Almighty, contend with those who contend with your children. Free them from everything that holds them in bondage, even bondage caused by youthful lust. Break any soul tie with previous sexual partners. Break, break, break all bondages for the children of God are for signs and wonders.

Let there be liberty in the spirit. I bind and cast out any evil spirit that has been assigned against the lives of the children of God. Let there be liberty in the body. Heal each one of all physical sickness in the name of Jesus Christ your only begotten Son, our Redeemer and Savior, and the lover of our souls. Rain down your Holy Spirit so that your children can be healed.

Prayer Points:

If you desire to be a wonderful child of God, you must give your life to Jesus. Pray with me now, “Dear Lord Jesus, I accept you as my personal Lord and Savior. I confess and forsake my sins. Cleanse me from my sins with your blood. Fill me with your Holy Spirit, and heal me totally so I can become a wonder in my generation, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Father God, give us the grace to be healthy enough to manifest your desire that we become signs and wonders. Heal everything that is sick in our bodies, souls, and spirits so that we can truly live again. Rain down the Holy Spirit upon our lives and then let the Holy Spirit reign in us so that we can be who we are meant to be.

Scripture Reading: Amos 5:4, 6, 8

For thus saith the Lord unto the house of Israel, Seek ye me, and ye shall live . . . Seek the Lord, and ye shall live; lest he break out like fire in the house of Joseph, and devour it, and there be none to quench it in Bethel . . . Seek him that maketh the seven stars and Orion, and turneth the shadow of death into the morning, and maketh the day dark with night: that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The Lord is his name.”

How to Seek the Lord

Holy Father, I pray in the name of Jesus that you give us the grace to seek you and find you and live. Let your people live so that they can declare your good works.

Do you remember the first time you lost your parents in a crowded place like a mall or an amusement park? You probably searched frantically for them and then burst into tears, feeling abandoned. Loosing your parents when you are a child is a frightening experience. How much worse should it be when you feel separated from your heavenly Father! Without God’s presence, this world is indeed frightening. The only way to survive these difficult times, this evil day, is to seek God. The Lord has made it clear to us that we should seek Him and live. Let us explore three practical ways that we can seek God today.

1. Dwell in the secret place of prayer

“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty” (Ps 91:1).

2. Worship

“God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth” (John 4:24).

3. Apply the blood of Jesus

Apply the blood of Jesus upon all areas of your life: your family, home, business, ministry, and church. There is protection in the blood. “And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt” (Exod 12:13). God first told His children to apply the blood upon their doorposts for their deliverance from death. Even today, the Word of God remains the same. The blood is still as powerful. Begin to seriously plead the blood daily.

Beloved seek God early. Meditate on Him. Esteem His word; consider it to be more necessary than food. Read at least a chapter of the Bible per day. Apply the blood. Dwell in the secret place of prayer and praise. Dwell in the secret place of ministry. Do at least the minimum of one of these things every week. Wise people seek God. I pray that God will give you the wisdom to seek Him.

Job in his day of trouble, in his evil day, did the wise thing and sought God. “Oh that I knew where I might find him! that I might come even to his seat” (Job 23:3).

Prayer Points:

Today, we are not in Job’s position; we can find God through Jesus Christ, the living Word of God. So if you have never given your life to Jesus, pray with me now, “Dear Lord Jesus, I accept you as my personal Lord and Savior. I confess and forsake my sins. Cleanse me from my sins with your blood and write my name in the Book of Life.”

Father God, pour your Spirit into our lives in a fresh measure and give us the grace to seek you so we will stay alive during this evil day. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.

Scripture Reading: Psalm 67

“Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee” (Ps 67:3).

Let All the People Praise

Father God, we thank you for the reality of your presence and the power of the Holy Spirit. We bless you for the privilege of a relationship with you. We thank you, Oh Living God, for the hope of your Word.

“God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah. That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations. Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth. Selah. Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us. God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him” (Ps 67).

When Christians are asked, “How are you?” we often automatically reply, “Blessed.” But what does it mean to be blessed? The foundation of being blessed by God is mercy: not human merit, but God’s mercy. The psalmist, therefore, requests God’s mercy and blessings upon us, and also that God cause His face to shine upon us. When God blesses us, we actually begin to resemble him and glow. People will look at you and say, “You’ve got your Father’s eyes” or “There’s this glow about you.” You will shine, just as Moses shined after God graciously met with him and renewed His covenant with Israel (Exod 34:27–30). Why will God cause His face to shine upon you? The psalm says that God will bless you so that His way and His saving health may be known all over the earth.

The psalmist encourages literally “all the people” to praise God. Nehemiah 3 describes this further and provides seven categories of people who should praise God:

1. The sheep gate: those who are saved.

2. The fish gate: those who do not have salvation.

3. The old gate: those who adhere to old standard of worship that lacks commercialism and is not entertainment-centered.

4. The valley gate: those who are downtrodden because they have been mistreated by society.

5. The dung gate: those who have been abandoned and rejected by society.

6. The fountain gate: those who pour themselves into God’s ministry.

7. The horse gate: those in media who communicate to others.

All these people should be brought in to worship God. The psalm goes on to say that when all the people praise God, the nations will be glad and sing for joy and God will judge the people righteously. The earth shall then yield its increase. There are blessings of increase linked to a people praising God. Therefore, it is important for us to sometimes forget about our denominations and come together in corporate worship where all the different types of people God created praise God. There are blessings linked to corporate worship, including that it brings together people who otherwise would not be under the same roof to bless God. There, the earth yields its increase as God blesses us.

Prayer Points:

If you have never given your life to Jesus, but you want to receive these blessings, pray with me now, “Dear Lord Jesus, I forsake my sins. I surrender my life to you. Cleanse me from my sins with your blood. Write my name in the Book of Life and give me the born-again experience to the glory of your Holy Name.”

Heavenly Father, let all the saints, all the people, be lifted up from their slumber to come together and worship you. Let all the gates be lifted up. Lift the fish gate, so that those who are meant to be brought into the Kingdom, be brought in to worship you. Let the old gate restore true worship, so you, not our personal entertainment, are the total focus of worship. Bring the valley gate, those who are the depressed, up to the mountaintop as they worship. May all the other gates, the dung, fountain, horse and media gates, also come to worship His Majesty. And let the earth yield her increase in the lives of all worshipers. Bless us so that all the ends of the earth shall know of your miraculous and gracious ways and fear you.

Scripture Reading: John 3:16

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Levels of Relating to God

Father God, thank you for loving us so much that you gave your Son, so that whoever believes in Him will have eternal life. Give us the grace to improve our relationship with you to the glory of your Holy Name.

Many of us recall fondly the twists and turns in our relationship with our spouse—from that fateful day when we laid eyes on each other, the superficial dating period of putting our best foot forward, getting to know each other, and finally feeling comfortable enough to expose the real you, undesirable habits and all. Every relationship goes through stages and our walk with God is no different. There are seven levels of relating to God.

1. Mystery and ignorance

In this initial stage, God is unfamiliar to you and you imagine Him to be whatever your environment dictates Him to be. Only a divine revelation of God can upgrade you to the next level.

2. Salvation

By God’s mercy, He draws you to Himself. You can now enjoy and begin to sing “Amazing grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me. I once was lost but now am found, was blind, but now I see.” The day of salvation has come for you who have never given your life to Jesus. I pray that the Living God will save your soul today.

3. Witnessing His acts and power

Here, you are able to see the power of the Holy Spirit. You see God moving in your life and begin to say, “Look at the wonders God did!” After a while where you see him work miracles, answer your prayers, solve your problems, upgrade you, and deliver you, you begin to hunger for Him a little more. You feel like Moses must have felt after experiencing the signs and wonders of deliverance. Moses reached beyond and said, “God, I want to see your glory. I have seen your signs and wonders, but Lord God, show me your glory.” You begin to hunger for a deeper knowledge of God through His Word.

4. Knowing God

At this level, you get to know God through His Word being internalized in your spirit. You know what He likes and dislikes; you know what He will and will not do. God is a loving and faithful God. He does not change, for He is your God and He changes not. As all these truths take root in your spirit, your spirit begins to testify with God’s spirit that you are His child.

5. Believing God

You start to believe Him with a higher level of faith. You then manifest commitment to Him beyond what is ordinary because you have now become a supernatural believer.

6. Serving God

When you know God for yourself and you believe Him totally, you can serve Him with total obedience. Many of us are serving God with partial obedience because we do not really know Him yet. We have been saved by Him and have seen His mighty acts, but we still do not know Him personally through internalizing His Word. I pray that God will upgrade you in your relationship with Him so that you may serve Him with total obedience.

7. Worshiping God

When you relate to God at this level, you manifest total interest in the things of God. You live and move and have your being in the things of God; you come alive when these things of God are accomplished or when you strive to further these things. You no longer have an emotional relationship with God; your relationship with Him is spiritual. You worship Him in spirit and in truth, with your entire life.

At what level are you today? Our relationship with God is not static. Desire to grow in intimacy with Him. I pray that you will experience a divine upgrading in Jesus’ name.

Prayer Points:

Are you at level one, where you do not know God but desire to know Him? The day of ignorance and mystery has ended. I pray that the Living God will save your soul today. Pray with me now, “Dear Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you. I accept you as my personal Lord and Savior. I confess and forsake my sins. I receive salvation by the atonement of your blood at Calvary.”

Father God Almighty, in your mercy, promote us to a higher level of relating to you. Deliver us from ignorance, so we may sing of your amazing grace. Draw us to you and give us the grace to internalize your Word and know you personally. In your faithfulness, show yourself to us like you showed yourself to Moses and give us the grace to believe in you with increased faith. Help us to serve you with total obedience. We pray for a divine upgrading toward becoming spiritual worshipers in Jesus’ name.
